Priority will be given to stakeholders who have register to present at a conference when they request to attend that conference. Stakeholders will be given special consideration if they make a commitment to present at an upcoming conference or at our summer workshop.
All requests for attending any of these professional development workshops given by stakeholders before or at the TAP meeting will be considered immediately following the October 6 meeting.
Jeff Arnold encouraged stakeholders to only sign up for the professional development that they are definitely willing to attend. Jeff stated that - Limited resources are available. Requesting funding for participating in these events doesn’t guarantee the funds will be provided. Resources will be allocated to active steering committee members and/or conference presenters first. Committing to make a presentation at a conference or our summer program may increase your likelihood of receiving funding. (Before requesting to attend any professional development please make sure you have the approval of your district.)
