Thomas Reynolds Center - Board Room / Time: 4:30 pm- 6:30 pm
In Attendance: Elaine Swing, Catherine Sodota, Marion Munoz, Connie Kudrna, Rod Doran, Pat Loncto, Jeff Arnold
Greetings: Welcome
Old Business: Approve minutes from last steering committee meeting (on Blog) Accepted minutes
• RATE /Benchmarking updates – Field team and Board reviews have taken place. Had a college peer review with faculty and faculty has accepted this process as a norm. Now have three tier learning community at Daemen: students, school district teachers, Daemen college faculty. Future goal is to have three tiers work together.
• Original time log and journals – are kept by Jeff / Pay at the end of January and June

• Goals Update: Set and type clear goals —with assessment criteria – Post samples on-line can be paid for one hour. Email to Jeff in word document.

by Charlotte Danielson and Thomas L. McGreal ($24.95) : Chair (_______) Trying to use the information for our summer program. Present in summer and use one of our meetings to plan activities using the book.

Teaching To Standards:
Developing Teaching to Standards –score mid-terms and final projects
Ticket into steering committee–$500, 3 college graduate credits, camera and scanner.- Graduate expectation – peer review at TAP to post on-line in summer project. Standards Class Update: Four teachers (Delores, Ann Marie, Marian, Vivian, Delores (over summer) Capstone Course – Co-teaching model – assist next semester (Paid)
Retention / Reunion: survey needed two times a year maybe at next TAP, not this month

• Summer Science Assessment Workshop (7/1- 7/3)- Collect and analyze State data then participate in Action planning for how will use data in instruction. Place Daemen.• Related Events- The “Ning Thing”- http://wnyscienceleaders.ning.com/ A Ning is a website that lists activities happening in region. Show at TAP meeting.
Event: Cliff Stoll – March 18- 4:00 PM-5:30 PM Buffalo Museum of Science – Physical Science, conceptual Physics.
Science Exploration Day – March 11: 9:00 am-2:00 pm (UB Amherst) High School students come on UB campus to learn about Science. Title: Tune into Science
STANYS Mini-Conference –March 25 ~ 3:30 am-7:00 pm (West Seneca West) K-12 Three sessions 40 minutes long, no sign up, no fee

• Supply stipend – Amount / Conditions
A $35 supplies credit will be recorded for each TAP member attending the meeting. Only teachers/administrators currently teaching in a Buffalo School are eligible to redeem the credits. To redeem credits you must attend our summer project and complete the Goal/Action plan/ Needs Assessment package. The terms and conditions of supplies credit are subject to change after review by our steering committee.
